Ready for a new round of the Muruvik Backyard Ultra? The race was first held in the spring of 2021, and now it’s finally time to host the first race in Trondheim. The course is an out-and-back route from Muruvik to Hommelvik along the picturesque Malvikstien, a flat course with great record potential. Runners have one hour to complete a 6.7 km loop, and every full hour, the race starts anew. The winner is the one who ultimately lasts a round alone, and a maximum of twelve rounds is set, which gives a total distance of 80.4 km.
Highlights
- The course runs back and forth between Muruvik and Hommelvik along the idyllic Malvik Trail, a flat route with great record opportunities.
- The laps start every hour on the hour, and your pace determines how long of a break you get before the next start.
- All runners are welcome, and whether you participate to run a lap or to steel yourself for victory, it is set up as a social event with a low entry threshold.
